Our Ethos

The Hub provides young people with a safe space where they can participate in youth programmes. Safeguarding young people is our highest priority. This makes the Hub different from a standard leisure centre. Our safeguarding responsibilities mean that all users and visitors to the Hub must comply with this Code of Conduct.

By entering the Hub or participating in any activity you agree to follow this Code of Conduct. Failure to follow these rules may result in removal from the premises.

Safeguarding young people

There can be young people within the building at any time. They have the right to be respected and safe from harm. Adults must act as role models, treat young people with respect, use appropriate language and not be alone with a young person (unless unavoidable).

The use of photographic and recording devices, including mobile telephones, is strictly forbidden at the Hub without prior written permission. This is an essential safeguarding measure You must not share any imagesnames or identifying details of young people online.

If you witness anti-social behaviour, safeguarding risks or concerns, or verbal/physical abuse you must alert a member of the team immediately.

Signing In

It is important you sign-in on arrival and sign-out on exit, using your full name for safety and accountability. This information is used for safeguarding and emergency procedures. We ask for your patience if there is a queue, as this helps us ensure the safety and smooth running of the Hub.
